The current owner purchased this business in 1997, and through a continued commitment to quality and customer service, has built this shop into one of the premier automotive and marine trim shops in the Coastal Carolina Region. The staff of Upholstery 1 has done extensive work on Original Restorations, Street Rods, Classic & Muscle Cars, Foreign Sports Cars, Sport Trucks, and Euro Style Interiors. Together with the owners of these fine vehicles, they have created award winning interiors. Through research to locate original materials and styles, Upholstery 1 has re-created interiors for rare and unique automobiles. In several cases, the original interior was duplicated from client photos, original sales literature, Franklin Mint Models and crumbling upholstery.

Auto Upholstery, Wilmington, NC Upholstery 1 has worked on many “ground up” custom upholstery interiors including design, fabrication, and installing of seat upholstery; cut, sew & binding of carpets; fabrication & installation of bow/hard headliners; design & fabrication of door panels, dashes, trucks, consoles, etc. Many types of materials are available to achieve that one of a kind look: leather, faux suede, ultra leather, vinyl, tweed, wool, velour, exotic vinyls (ostrich, snake, pearl metallic, carbon fiber, etc.) OEM original/replacement fabrics may be still available as well.
